The Legal Aid and Awareness Committee (LAAC), National Law University Jodhpur, is pleased to announce that registrations are now open for the National Legal Aid Innovation Competition 2026. The competition is being organised as part of the Third Edition of the Stakeholders' Summit on the theme, "Strengthening Clinical Legal Education through Legal Aid Cells," under the guidance of our Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur. The Summit will be held on 10–11 October 2026 at National Law University, Jodhpur.
The National Legal Aid Innovation Competition invites Legal Aid Clinics from law schools across India to identify critical access to justice gaps and propose innovative, field-tested solutions through empirical research and reasoned analysis, while engaging with experts and stakeholders committed to advancing clinical legal education.
To participate, each institution must register through its Legal Aid Clinic, with one team per institution comprising 3-5 undergraduate law students accompanied by one Faculty Coordinator. Registration will be considered complete only upon the submission of an online proposal comprising a Concept Note and a Video Presentation.
The last date for registration is 20th August, 2026. The registration form and fee payment link are available in our bio. We look forward to welcoming institutions from across the country to join us in fostering innovation, collaboration, and meaningful dialogue towards strengthening legal aid mechanisms and enhancing access to justice.
