National Law University, Jodhpur has announced the launch of its two-year postgraduate Executive MBA in Business & Sustainability programme in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD), New Delhi. The programme is specifically designed for working professionals—including managers, executives, entrepreneurs, consultants, and individuals from corporate and government sectors—who aim to integrate sustainability into business strategy and decision-making.
Structured in a blended mode, the programme combines self-paced learning with periodic on-campus sessions, offering flexibility for professionals balancing work and study. It also includes interactive sessions and weekend classes to ensure an engaging learning experience.
The programme was formally launched under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur, in the presence of Dr. Srikanta K. Panigrahi, Director General, IISD, New Delhi, along with other distinguished members from IISD. The initiative reflects the University’s commitment to interdisciplinary learning and addressing emerging global challenges through innovative academic programmes.
In her address, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor emphasised the growing importance of sustainability in today’s business environment. She highlighted that businesses must go beyond profit-making to actively contribute towards environmental preservation, pollution control, and responsible resource management. She underscored the need for ensuring that resource allocation safeguards the interests of future generations.
Dr. Srikanta K. Panigrahi, in his remarks, underlined the importance of forward-looking academic programmes in the contemporary business landscape. He appreciated the collaboration with NLU Jodhpur, describing it as a premier institution, and noted that integrating sustainability into business education is essential to address evolving economic, environmental, and societal challenges.
Dr. Pran Banjara, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Management and Coordinator of the programme, presented a comprehensive overview of the programme, including its structure, duration, and key features. He highlighted the growing relevance of such courses in addressing contemporary societal needs and emphasised that the programme aims to promote responsible and sustainable business practices.
He further noted that participants will benefit from a practice-oriented pedagogy involving case studies, projects, assignments, workshops, and interactive discussions, enabling real-world application of concepts. The annual course fee for the programme is ₹2,75,000. Admissions are open from 2 May 2026. Eligibility requires a graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks and at least two years of work experience.
Through this initiative, NLU Jodhpur aims to develop future-ready professionals capable of driving sustainable growth and contributing meaningfully to the evolving global economy.
