On March 27, 2024, Dr. Clara Martins Pereira, Director for International Development, Durham Law School, Durham University, United Kingdom visited the National Law University, Jodhpur.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Harpreet Kaur welcomed the professor and briefed her about the National Law University, Jodhpur, highlighting the university's various achievements. Dr. Kaur introduced Dr. Clara to the faculty members and suggested various ways of collaborations between NLUJ and Durham University. She focused on joint research, faculty and student exchange programs as well as interactive online programmes for faculty development.
Dr. Pereira addressed the students on the topic of “AI and Fintech". The students were keen to listen Dr. Pereira on this interesting topic and showed great enthusiasm by asking questions.
Post the student interaction, meeting with the faculty members was arranged wherein different possible collaboration opportunities for both the universities were discussed. Faculty directors of various Centres at NLUJ talked about the work undertaken by their respective centres and proposed collaboration opportunities with the Durham University in the areas of research, faculty and student exchange.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Neeti Mathur along with the student members of the External Initiatives Committee, Rajiv Yadav, Siddhanth Rathod, Vrinda Gupta and Bhanu Pratap Singh
