National Law University Jodhpur Conducts Second Academic Session under the Savitribai Circle for Intersectional Constitutional Thought
The Centre for Constitutional & Administrative Law (CCAL), National Law University, Jodhpur, conducted the second academic session under the Savitribai Circle for Intersectional Constitutional Thought.
The session engaged with Mahasweta Devi’s acclaimed literary work “Draupadi”, using the story of Dopdi Mejhen as a lens to critically examine substantive equality, marginality, gender, bodily autonomy, human dignity, the rule of law, and constitutional safeguards.
Through an interdisciplinary discussion, the session explored the intersection of constitutional principles with lived socio-economic realities and reflected on how the promises of justice, liberty, equality, and dignity can be meaningfully realised for historically marginalised communities.
