Dr. Varsha Singh, Assistant Professor at National Law University, Jodhpur, has been selected as a Visiting Scholar at the Sydney Law School, University of Sydney, from 26 May to 25 July 2025. Supported by Dr. Rosemary Grey of the Sydney Centre for International Law, Dr. Singh will conduct research on “Depriving Women and Girls of Public Lives: The Crime of Persecution and Gender Apartheid by the Taliban.” Her work will explore how international criminal law can address gender-based violence and persecution under the Taliban regime, contributing to global legal discourse on gender justice and human rights. The Visitors Program also offers significant opportunities for the exchange of ideas, fostering academic discussions and facilitating research collaborations.
