On 28th September 2024 an online panel discussion on Breaking barriers- Women redefining Finance was organised by the Daughters of Themis, India Chapter and National Law University Jodhpur. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, National Law University Jodhpur and Head of India Chapter of Daughters of Themis, Prof. Harpreet Kaur addressed the online audience and explained the valuable goal of the network that is promotion of research in different streams such as business, law, management, policy science and others. She said that the focus of India is on bringing open access journals and will provide more discussion and networking opportunities to women for exchanging thoughts on contemporary issues and challenges. The three panellists in the discussion were Dr. Thenmozhi M, Professor and Head of Management Studies at IIT Madras, Chennai, Mrs. Namrata Vrishini, IAS, DM and Collector, Bikaner and Dr. Aparajita Prasad, Strategy consultant and start up advisor. Dr. Thenmozhi M emphasied on the significance of setting aside fear and moving ahead to embrace change while taking time out for self to rejuvenate. Mrs. Namrata Vrishini, IAS, explained the significance of financial prudence for women rather than just focussing on financial freedom. Her opinion was thought provoking and was well received by the audience for further discussion. Dr. Aparajita Prasad, motivated the women to use more tech tools for networking and upscaling.
