International Stakeholder Consultation on “Caregiving and Long-Term Care Law in India: Towards a Legal Framework for Care”

National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) and Caregivers ASHA Society, Jodhpurin collaboration with World Health Organisation (WHO) South East Asia Regional Office is organising an International Stakeholder Consultation on “Caregiving and Long-Term Care Law in India: Towards a Legal Framework for Care”from 8th–10th September 2026 at NLUJ, Jodhpur.

The consultation will bring together experts and stakeholders to deliberate on key dimensions of caregiving and long-term care in India, with discussions centred around:

  • Legal Framework and Gaps in Caregiver Recognition
  • Health Systems and Caregiving Realities in India
  • Economic and Social Realities of Caregiving
  • Policy Reform, Technology and the Future of Care Governance

The consultation aims to facilitate multidisciplinary dialogue on strengthening the legal, health, social, economic, and policy frameworks governing caregiving and long-term care in India.
