The University organises a number of special lectures for students with the aim of bringing them in contact with persons of repute in varied areas of law. Eminent people from judiciary, law firms, industry and academia are invited to deliver lectures and interact with students, the prominent ones being:
1.Justice Manju Goel, Former Judge, Delhi High Court delivered a lecture on Importance and Relevance of Mediation for Lawyers on 10th September, 2019. 2. Mr. Rishab Gupta, Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas,delivered a lecture on Selection of Arbitrators in International Investment Arbitration on 18 September, 2019.
3. Hon'ble Shri Y.K. Sinha, Central Information Commissioner,Govt. Of India and Former Ambassador to U.K. visited the University under the Ministry of External Affairs’ Distinguished Lecture Series programme and delivered a lecture on Implications of BREXIT and the prospects of an India-UK FTA on 20 September, 2019.
4. Justice Madan B. Lokur, Judge at Supreme Court of Fiji,delivered a lecture on Careers in Litigation: A View from the Bench on 5 October, 2019
5. Mr. Gary B. Born, Partner, and Ms. Dharshini Prasad, Senior Associate, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, London, delivered a lecture on the New York Convention on 15 October, 2019
6.Mr. Siddhant Chamola, Senior Associate, Anand and Anand,delivered a lecture on The Practical Aspects of Intellectual Property on 19 October, 2019
7.Prof. (Dr.) Petra Butler, Professor at Victoria University of Wellington Faculty of Law, co-director of the Centre for Small States,and visiting professor at Queen Mary University of London visited the University on 10 February 2020 and delivered a lecture on her research findings on The Commonwealth International Arbitration Study under the aegis of CARTAL. |
