Under the aegis of the Honíble Vice Chancellor Prof. Poonam Saxena Centre for Gender Studies continues to work with vigour and tenacity, to bring the goal of Gender Equality into reality. Center has organized a programme dedicated to the theme 'Building Pillars of Our Society' i.e. women, to commemorate the occasion of International Women's Day on 8th of March. The programme was commence with the motivational speech by Prof I.P Masey, Dean Faculty of Law, emphasizing women empowerment, gender equality and increasing capacity for rigorous gender analysis to promote awareness in the society. The occasion was also marked with the studentís performance in the form of, skit 'THE TWISTED- What if all women were men, highlighting the need of gender equity notion in the society, song performance on 'o ri chirraya'' and dance performances with a fusion of various styles throughout the country which included achievements of various women from different regions. Shri Sohan Lal Sharma, Registrar, distributed the certificate to the winner of competition Ahikaron Ki Pehchan.
The programme was conceptualized by Anmol Tanwar and students of NLUJ to salute the womanhood and women empowerment in the society.
