M.M. Singhvi Memorial Bar Council of India International Law Moot Court Competition

 

 

Now in its 13th year, the M.M. Singhvi Memorial Bar Council of India International Law Moot Court Competition is one of the largest moot court competitions in India, with participants from over 60 law schools in the last edition. The compromis [moot problem] is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice. Participants are required to prepare Oral and Written Pleadings which have to be argued from the side of the Applicant and the Respondent.

The competition is organized in the memory of Late Shri. M.M. Singhvi, an eminent lawyer of Rajasthan, It is an international level moot with an endeavour to contribute to legal scholarship and encourage communication and cooperation among students. The competition is sponsored by the M.M. Singhvi Memorial Charitable Trust and the Bar Council of India.


Pursuant to the successful completion of the previous editions by the Moot Court Committee; the 13th Annual M.M. Singhvi Memorial Bar Council of India International Law Moot Court Competition is scheduled to be held from 29th to 31st of January, 2010 at the campus of the National Law University, Jodhpur.

In our quest for perfection in legal education, we strive to explore the avenues that beckon the legal fraternity at large. Though this Moot Court Competition we seek your active support and co-operation in this ongoing process of convergence of skill and knowledge.
