13th Annual M.M. Singhvi Memorial Bar Council of India International Law Moot Court Competition
National Law University, Jodhpur is
proud to host the 13th edition of the Annual M.M. Singhvi Memorial Bar Council
of India International Law Moot Court Competition.
We cordially invite
all Law Colleges across the world and Faculties of Law duly recognized by their
countries to participate in this international event marking its 13th edition
in 2010.
The International Moot Court Competition is scheduled be held
on the 29th, 30th and 31st of January, 2010 at the campus of National Law University,
Jodhpur.
Each college is requested to participate
by registering one (1) team on its behalf consisting of two (2) speakers and
one (1) researcher.
The Compromis (moot problem) for the
13th edition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before
the International Court of Justice. Participants are required to prepare Oral
and Written Pleadings which have to be argued from the side of the Applicant
and the Respondent. The Compromis and all the other Rules pertaining to the
competition have been released.
Kindly confirm registration for the
competition by sending a duly filled registration form along with a Demand Draft/Pay Order for US$
50/- (for foreign teams) or for Rs.500/- (for Indian teams) in favor of ‘Registrar,
National Law University, Jodhpur’ payable at Jodhpur to the postal address
of National Law University, Jodhpur.
The last date for registration has been extended to October 20, 2009 for the convenience of those institutions which wish to determine their respective team compositions based on the Compromis.
Teams should preferably communicate their
interest to participate in the event at the earliest by e-mail. Foreign teams
may also apply for waiver of registration fee by e-mail.
