He is Secretary General of General Insurance Council of India. He is also a member of the committee to review Insurance Act,1938 constituted by Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority (IRDA) and of Editorial Board of IRDA Journal. He is also Director in various reputed firms like Hindalco Industries Limited, Saurashtra Cement Ltd., Andhra Cements Limited, Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd , Su-Raj Diamonds India limited , Shrishti Infrastructure Ltd etc. . He is also Consultants (STC), World Bank. He has also worked as Chairman-cum-Managing Director, New India Assurance Company Ltd., Mumbai and United India Insurance Company Ltd., Chennai. He has also been member of Tariff Advisory Committee, Governing Board, National Insurance Academy Pune and IRDA Expert Committee on Intermediaries. He has also been the Director of General Insurance Corporation of India, Loss Prevention Association of India and KenIndia Insurance Co. Ltd.
