The National Law University, Jodhpur has an elaborate Internship program for both Undergraduate as well as post-graduate students. The program is organized in the Month of November-December of every year and it extends from four to six weeks. The internship program has been made a part of the curriculum to achieve the objective of imbibing practical knowledge on applicability of law and “learning law in action”. The program is initiated right from the first year.
Internship Program for Undergraduate (UG) Students -
  • The First Year UG students are placed with Social Action Groups, i.e. both Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations.
  • The Second Year Students are placed with the Trial Court Advocates.
  • The Third Year Students are placed with Appellate Court Advocates.
  • Fourth Year Students shall be exposed to work exposure at Corporate Law Firms, Companies and other specialized law firms.
  • The Fifth Year Students shall be allowed to choose an institution (law firms, company, corporate law firms, etc.) according to their expertise that they have acquired during the last five years and sent accordingly.
Internship Program for Postgraduate Students -
Students pursuing Postgraduate Degree Program in different disciplines and Centers are required to undergo a three-month placement every academic year with Union or State Government undertakings, Private or Public Sector Undertakings, Advocates, Solicitors. The National Law University, Jodhpur has built-up a good relationship with several law firms, companies, industry, advocates, and judges, in the country, through performance of our students during the course of their internship. The remarkable performance of NLU Students has added a number of such organizations to the existing list almost every successive year.
