Mr. Atul Sharma
B.B.A.,LL.B. (Hons.)

Atul Sharma, specializes in the areas of WTO laws, trade policy, export controls, customs classification & valuation and Indian regulatory laws such as legal metrology, food safety, telecom and electricity laws, etc. He has also handled cases relating to foreign exchange management and competition laws.
Atul successfully acted as a co-counsel for Government of Taiwan in India — Anti-Dumping Duties on USB Flash Drives from the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu and for Government of India in US – Definitive Countervailing Duties on Certain Hot Rolled Carbon Steel Flat Products from India (DS436) and Turkey — Safeguard zmeasures on imports of cotton yarn (other than sewing thread) (DS428) before the WTO. He also advised government of India through its exports promotion council on rules negotiations at the WTO. Atul also acted for MOFCOM, People's Republic of China in multiple transitional product-specific safeguards proceedings initiated by India.
Atul has represented multinational companies in defending classification and obtaining lower rate of import duty before the customs authorities in India and has advised them on export control laws in India. Atul holds a Master's degree in Law from New York University School of Law and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Law with honors in International Trade and Investment from National Law University, Jodhpur. He was awarded Vice Chancellors Gold Medal for the year 2006 for his overall performance during the course. He currently holds the position of Managing Director, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, Sarl.

Mr. Sameer Sah
B.Sc.,LL.B. (Hons.)

Sameer Sah, is an experienced practitioner, currently working with the Corporate / M&A team of Khaitan & Co, and working at the firm’s Mumbai office. He has handled a variety of matters, particularly in the areas of strategic M&A, foreign investments, private equity, and regulatory approvals for investing in India. Separately, Sameer is also a member of the pharmaceuticals and healthcare practice group of the firm and advises clients on regulatory and other issues pertaining to the pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry.
Chambers Asia Pacific 2012 has labeled Sameer as an associate "to watch" and notes that sources single him out for being "solution-oriented and pragmatic". AsiaLaw 2013 and 2014 note him as a "Leading Lawyer" in India. Leading publications such as Mint, Express Pharma, DNA, Financial Chronicle, etc., have quoted him on issues pertaining to pharmaceutical sector. In the past, Sameer has worked with Majmudar & Co, International Lawyers, with the Corporate and Tax practice. Admitted to practice law since 2007, Sameer holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Science and Law with honours in Corporate Legal Studies from National Law University, Jodhpur.

He has worked as an Associate at Trilegal, Delhi; Allen & Overy LLP, London (United Kingdom). Currently working as an Associate at Majumdar & Co., Mumbai.

Mr. Adarsh Ramanujan
B.Sc.,LL.B. (Hons.)

Adarsh Ramanujan, B.Sc., LL.B. (Hons.), NLUJ; LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Antitrust from University of California, Berkeley. Qualified the California (USA) Bar Examination in 2010 as well as the Patent Agent Examination in India, in 2011. Specialized in Border Control Proceedings before the customs authorities, which involves preventing the importance of products infringing IPR. His litigation practice also includes practice before specialized tribunals dealing with issues relating to validity of IPR.

Ms. Angira Singhvi

Angira Singhvi, B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), NLUJ. Worked with Herbert Smit LLP for a period of two years in London and in Dubai. Thereafter, been working as an Associate with J. Sagar Associates in their general corporate and M&A department in Gurgaon. She has been involved in private equity transactions and has worked for various key M&A transactions including acquisition of MTN by Bharti Airtel.

Mr. Tarun Jain
B.B.A.,LL.B. (Hons.)

Tarun Jain is a professionally qualified lawyer actively engaged in main-stream tax litigation in India.
He is involved in and represents a wide range of clients in all varieties of tax fields before various forums in India including tax tribunals and constitutional courts.
He is a gold medalist in law having graduated on top of university in B.B.A.,LL.B. (Hons.) degree awarded by National Law University, Jodhpur and Bhamashah Award Winner (2007).
He holds a Master’s degree in Law from the London School of Economics with a specialization in Taxation.

Mr. Siddhartha Shukla
B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)
Siddhartha Shukla, is a corporate/M&A specialist based out of London, working for Herbert Smith Freehills. He advises big international companies and financial institutions on a wide range of corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and other aspects of corporate law. He has also spent six months at Herbert Smith Freehills's Singapore office on a secondment. Siddhartha completed his bachelors of law and business administration from NLU Jodhpur with a distinction. He is a dual-qualified lawyer, admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an advocate in India. In 2015, Siddhartha was shortlisted amongst the top 5 Asian origin lawyers in the UK at the Asian Professional Awards.

Abhinav Surana, B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), NLUJ. Worked with Herbert Smith in London Office. During the two years in Herbert Smith and worked in Litigation/ Arbitration, Corporate – M&A, Finance and Competition Law. He is currently working as an Associate at Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai. His practice area includes private equity, acquisitions, joint ventures etc.

Mr. Shashank Prabhat Kumar

Shashank Prabhat Kumar, B.Sc., LL.B. (Hons.), NLUJ; LL.M. at Yale Law School, specializing in international law and dispute settlement. While at Yale, he served as an Editor for the Yale Journal of International Law
Shashank has a diploma from the International Academy for Arbitration Law in Paris. Currently, Shashank works at the World Trade Organization’s Appellate Body Secretariat in Geneva. His areas of interests include inter alia, Public International Law, WTO Law, International Arbitration, International Investment Law, International Intellectual Property Law, and legal education.
