The Centre promotes research and education about the environment and emphasizes on its interdependence with the human society. The Centre aims to create a link between experts from various fields so as to improve the quality of research at National Law University and various external organizations linked with the Centre and engaged in Environmental research.

Established with the fundamental objective of transforming the NLU campus into a model of environmental consciousness, the Centre for Environment Protection (CFEP) is an idea in perpetual execution. Initiated by a select group of students and faculty members, the Centre gradually gained momentum and presently enjoys the support of the entire student body.

In a short span of time, the Centre has undertaken few sensitization campaigns including a tree plantation drive which saw participation of teachers and students alike. Similarly, screening of documentaries to create awareness has also been well received by the campus populace. Future activities of the Centre shall include implementation of drip irrigation on campus along with continuous sensitization programs through awareness campaigns, conferences and seminars.

ECO Friendly
We are also not lacking in Environmental awareness and there is NLU Green Club, which regularly comes up with innovative ideas for environment conservation and keeps the campus eco-friendly.  We organize tree plantation programs quite often as the part of the mission of Environment Protection.
