Law and legal education has a tremendous challenge today because Law requires integration with other branches of knowledge in order to make its practical application feasible. We require a Technology Lawyer, a Nuclear Lawyer, an IPR Lawyer, a Biotech and Agricultural Lawyer, a Constitutional and a Criminal Lawyer side by side. It is the first Institution of its kind where study of Law is coupled with other disciplines such as Science, Management and Policy Sciences. The initial multidisciplinary approach has yielded a rich harvest of technical, theoretical and practical knowledge, which has immensely benefited the students’ learning and also added to their commercial value in a very demanding and competitive market.

NLU innovated the integration of Science and Management with law at undergraduate level with tremendous success. The University offers five year integrated undergraduate program in three streams namely B.A, LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Sc., LL.B. (Hons.). In this program all the compulsory subjects prescribed by the Bar Council of India are taught in the comparative context of Science, Management and Policy Science. In these integrated programs we offer unique and highly demanding honors courses in disciplines such as Business Law, Criminal Law and Intellectual Property Rights.
Besides that, the University also offers Postgraduate Programs in Corporate Laws, Intellectual Property Laws, and Insurance to cater the need of corporate and public sector in globalised setup.
